How to plan a road trip with your partner?

Image result for road trip with your partner

You do not plan it. If you have a big budget, then there is no need to book any living accommodation. But if budget is an issue, then you can just have a crude idea of how many days you want to stay at a place and book your stay accordingly. The destination does not matter so much if you have the right company. Your itinerary should be making memories with your partner. Memories that you will cherish for the rest of your lives. With this in mind, you can free yourself from the restrictions you would have to face with an itinerary. You can do whatever you have in mind. Explore the unique activities the place has to offer, relax and take rest and most importantly, spend quality time with your loved one.

You can enjoy your trip better if you do not have a burden with you. So, you should minimize your luggage. If possible, do not carry any. You can buy your clothes from the local vendors. This will let you try on the traditional clothing of that place. This will be so much more interesting as it would help you camouflage in the respective society. Also, it will help you come out of your everyday outfits and try some fresh looks. Psychologically speaking this will not only bring in some fresh energy but also excitement which is necessary for a break.

Most people tend to play it safe and have food which is known to them. A cuisine with which they are comfortable.They also tend to go to a place which they have already visited. Maybe a chain of restaurant which they are familiar with. This should not be the target when a couple travels. You should try and explore the local cuisine as this creates a cloud of excitement for you your taste buds.

The most essential part of any road trip is obviously the vehicle. You can use a convertible car, an idea which is pretty common in movies.
Not only does it let you live your fantasies, it also allows us to use the same vehicle in the different weathers. One thing which you should completely reject is the concept of keeping a driver.
Though it might be tiring, it adds to the privacy of the couple and helps them spend time while they are travelling. This allows you to take whatever routes you want to take. Stop wherever you would like to, and listen to whatever music you like.
Privacy is very important as a lot of time is spent commuting on a road trip.

One thing which you should not forget is that you are going there to take a break so you should not plan the next day. For ex. If you wish to stay at a place for more time than have initially you thought, you should not think twice. You should just extend your stay and relax. Get a massage done and enjoy the spa but relax. You can afford to take a day off exploring,after all, you are on a vacation.

Even if you own an Iphone XR, it really does not matter you should definitely carry a camera with you because all the shutter illusions which you want to capture should be through this camera.

Instead of just visiting the main attractions, you should also interact with the local people and try to learn the local customs and language as besides shopping, learning new activities should also be an essential motive.

By visiting these small aisles one can learn new stories and discover some traditions which are quite unique to that specific place.
For ex. While visiting Paris the Eiffel tower should not be the only attraction but also the small houses and churches as the actual innovations of the renaissance are in these places, for the people who love architecture, sculptures and paintings.
There are many small gardens which are worth visiting. There exist many water fountains which are delicately built but are rendered unseen as people tend to focus on the Eiffel tower only.

After completing the trip, like everyone, you should not just post stories on Instagram and Snapchat but what one should do is that he/she should prepare a travelogue like that of Al Beruni so that not only do you compile all the information but by uploading it online you also help others to plan their travel.

Hence my concluding paragraph is that go where you want to go, do what you want to do and eat whatever you want to and capture everything you can. But just remember one thing that you are visiting a place to take a break from your everyday routine and hence you should not carry the extra baggage of stress and emotional complications rather when you return you should bring with yourself a wave of happiness, energy and joy which can only be achieved if you truly live in the moment.

The Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2019.

The Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2019 a.k.a The Bill to thwart the democratic and secular fabric of our country has been passed by the democratically elected cabinet of our country and will be tabled in the Lok Sabha on 9th of December 2019.

Now what is this bill all about. The video below will tell you about all the facts of the bill.

Apparently, when the bill was on the floor of the upper house of the Parliament the Largest opposition party in our country (at least we still have opposition) the Indian National Congress staged a walkout which in  my opinion is a very major backlash for our country as this bill is not something which is passed by our parliament but a bill which is passed by single party.

An example of how blatantly can a ruling party usurp power and openly discriminate on the grounds of Religion which is prohibited by the Indian Constitution. The book on which they pledge their sincerity.

Another argument posed by the BJP is that our neighbouring Islamic republics which are Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan persecute minorities mainly the Hindus hence they should have the right to get refuge in the world's largest secular country i.e India or Hindu-Stan.

But the only thing which comes to  my mind is that wouldn't an eye for an eye blind the whole world.

We are not saying that don't give refuge to Hindus but what we are asserting is that keep it equal for all the religions because when a bomb strikes it does not differentiate between religions but destroys them all and hence it is our duty to protect them all.

Muslims are the majority in minority and we house the majority of muslims in the world so isn't it our constitutional duty to protect their rights so that they don't feel scared in their own country.

After the 1971 Indo-Pak war, our Country India gave birth to a new country Bangladesh which is a muslim majority country.

In 1971, an estimated 10 million refugees crossed the border from East Pakistan into India. The sheer magnitude of this movement of people – the largest single displacement of refugees in the second half of the 20th century – is staggering. Writing from the town of Barasat, a city located in the outskirts of Calcutta, West Bengal, Sydney Schanberg, a journalist with the New York Times, describes the town as a “swarm” with refugees “so thick in the streets that cars can only inch through”

Our country has always welcomed people from all races and religions be it before independence or after independence and hence passing of this bill will not only violate the morals of our history but of our future too and hence I hope our parliament or the judiciary realizes this and labels it as unconstitutional thereby making it null and void.

Another video showcasing how divided the parliament is on this bill.

With respect to Assam this bill violates the clause 6 of the Assam Accord that assures to protect, preserve and promote the cultural, social, linguistic identity and heritage of the Assamese people. In Retaliation a long time BJP ally 'Asom Gana Parishad' has left the National Democratic Alliance.

Hence to out rightly discriminate on the basis of religion is extremely dangerous as they did not get to choose their religion but they inherited it and hence it should not be a factor for debarring them from entering into a country.

The very fact that one our MPs just tore the copy of this bill in front of the nation and compared it to an act done by Mahatma Gandhi in South Africa signals that the parliament in toto is not in support of this bill.

Many personalities even from the Film Industry have spoken against this bill for ex. Swara Bhaskar, Richa Chadha and Anubhav Sinha have raised their voice against this bill which shows how diverse is the criticism and what impact is it having on the society.
Former judges, writers, actors and activists are among 720 prominent people who have spoken against the Citizenship Bill.

The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) on Thursday moved the Supreme Court against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB), 2019, a day after it was passed by the Rajya Sabha, saying the law violated the basic and fundamental value of the Constitution that “all should be treated equally alike” and should be struck down for violation of the fundamental right to equality under Article 14.

I fear that this government is taking a majoritarian form which is a matter of grave concern as we have an example of Sri Lanka as to how the political turmoil devastated their country and led to a civil war.

Thus, I would like to end this blog by quoting the Indian constitution

"JUSTICE, social, economic and political;

LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;

EQUALITY of status and of opportunity;

and to promote among them all

FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;

IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this twenty-sixth day of November, 1949, do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION. " and would also send a copy to the Government of India.

JN 'U'?

These Students showcase the best and the most comprehensive use of their "Fundamental Right to Protest" but did they forget the reasonable restrictions which come with it?
Are they really the future of our country or are they destabilizing the same.
Is the protest truly politically motivated or are the parties playing their politics?
In this blog I would try and answer all the above questions in a very peaceful manner.
Jawaharlal Nehru National University is a Tier-1 university of our country with the highest cut offs among all the other universities.
It might not be clearly visible but it is situated in Delhi the national and natural capital of our country i.e Delhi.
Alleged Anti national activities in JNU have always been much talked about throughout our country but have they been proved?
And especially the Video which has surfaced online of them dismantling the Vivekananda Statue can be done by some other miscreants and not the people who are actually affected by the conditions on the hostel.
The only purpose with which I am writing this blog is to explain how profoundly can a person or group can use a fundamental right. Neither am I in support of the students nor the authorities but naming an individual an Anti- National is a very big step and the "Supreme court of Instagram" should refrain from doing such things.
Now lets go through some facts about the much talked about JNU hostel room.

In the video above we can see that the hostels are in a pathetic condition and the administration it seems is on a repeat mode saying "Saying admin ke paisa nahi hai".
The only argument I want to put forward is that if they are really the future of our country don't they have the right to stay healthy.
the executive council at Jawaharlal Nehru University, the institute's highest decision-making body, revised the hostel fee hike which had led to massive protests from students on campus. In a press note released by the JNU administration the same day, the monthly room rent, which is currently Rs 20 and Rs 10 for double and single-occupancy respectively, was revised to Rs 300 and Rs 150, from the proposed Rs 600 and Rs 300.
 Post fee hike, JNU to be Indias most expensive central university: Students to shell out Rs 62k per year for single room
The refundable mess security was also slashed from the proposed Rs 12,000 to Rs 5,500. However, the contentious ‘service charges’, which will come to around Rs 1,700 per month, have been retained. For students hailing from Below Poverty Line backgrounds (BPL), a 50 percent concession was offered in the service, utility, and room charges.

In my opinion and I give this by stating the fact that even I left my home and went to study in Mumbai which is one of the costliest cities in India for students and as a matter of fact money does matter be it Rs 12,000 or Rs 5,500. Isliye ye bolna ki itne paise tho ye de sakte h iss a but a naive kyuki vo vaha paise kamane nahi gaye hai tho denge kaise.

Another important aspect is the difference is between increasing and doubling the fees the main reason for the protest was the immediate increase whereas this could have done progressively.

Hence as far as the protests are concerned I feel they are valid for the sole reason that they were not violent and within the purview of their Right and knowing the fact that this a public funded university the authorities should keep this in mind that they should first provide them with basic hygienic facilities and only then can they demand such fees.

What is your opinion type it in the comment box because without dissent there is no discussion.
